Transit (NCTS) Overview

NCTS stands for 'New Computerised Transit System', and is a European wide electronic system for controlling the movement of goods. It enables you to submit your transit declarations electronically. You can learn more about NCTS here.

Fully tested and approved for use by HMRC, the Sequoia NCTS module covers all aspects of the transit procedure, from initial declaration and printing of the TAD (Transit Accompanying Document) or TSAD (Transit and Security Accompanying Document) to arrival, unloading remarks and eventual release. Transit movements can be associated to export shipments and/or consolidations as well as import removals and re-use information from the associated declarations, making the transit declaration an extremely simple process. It will also automatically calculate and manage guarantee reference amounts; a requirement of the Common Transit Convention.

Couple this with the ability to store multiple transit Profiles (to automatically complete most of the declaration header information), and the Sequoia NCTS module automates over 90% of the data input for you.
