Information you must provide to us before you go live with CDS

In order for your CDS declarations to be submitted and processed successfully, we need you to provide us with information in the form of a questionnaire. However, before you do this, you need to register for CDS with each CSP with whom you have badges. The information they provide as part of that registration process is required in the questionnaire.

Registering with CSPs and completing the questionnaire does not mean you have to start sending declarations to CDS straight away, but getting all the information and returning it to us as soon as possible will help to get everything configured for when you do want to start.

Register with each CSP with whom you have badges

Unless you register for CDS with each CSP - with whom you have badges - you will not be able to submit live CDS declarations through them. How to register, and the information we need, is detailed below.

CNS Compass

If you have badges with CNS, you must complete the [online registration form] for CNS to process.

Fill in the details on the form.

  • Enter ASM where it asks for 'Software Supplier'.
  • Enter tomorrow's date where it asks for 'Preferred CDS Start Date'. It doesn't mean you have to start on that date!

Don't forget to click [Submit] when you have finished.

CNS will then provide you with the following information:

  • A Topic ID
  • Username
  • Password - Note. This is NOT the password you use to log in to the CNS web portal.

This information needs to be added to the questionnaire that you fill in for us.


MCP Destin8

If you have badges with MCP, you should send [this email to MCP] to register. Fill in your Company name, EORI number and list of badges code and send the email.

MCP will then provide you with the following information:

  • Output device/Topic ID
  • Username
  • Password

This information needs to be added to the questionnaire that you fill in for us.


Pentant

If you have badges with Pentant, you should send [this email to Descartes (Pentant)] to register. Fill in your Company name, EORI number, DUNS number and list of badges code and send the email.

Pentant will then provide you with the following information:

  • GLN Username
  • GLN Password

This information needs to be added to the questionnaire that you fill in for us, along with your DUNS number.

CCS-UK

There is no separate registration process as such, but you will need to tell us the CCS-UK badges you have when you fill in our questionnaire. We have to make sure those badges are set up correctly for CDS.

Complete our CDS Questionnaire

This questionnaire lists all of the information we need to know before we can set you up for submitting live CDS declarations.

Completing the questionnaire does not mean you have to start sending declarations to CDS straight away, but getting all the information and returning it to us as soon as possible will help to get everything configured for when you do want to start.
